
A RFMON (Radio Frequency MONitor) mode, as the name implies, allows a computer with a wireless network interface card (WNIC) to monitor all traffic being received through its wireless channel. When using Wi-Fi only, Monitor Mode allows you to read packets even if they are not sent through it, as well as to disable wireless traffic if packets are not sent.
